SAFETY
The plant reduced its recordable incidents by more than 50% from 2023 and recorded a lowest-ever 1.7% total recordable incident rate (TRIR).

EFFICIENCY
The plant reduced its overtime to less than 10%, pointing toward the team’s ability to anticipate and meet production needs on schedule. Further, the plant achieved an overall scrap rate of 2.8%, just under its goal of 2.9%.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
In 2024, Cambridge achieved just 0.166% in customer credits and 99% in delivery performance.

MAINTENANCE
Cambridge achieved a preventative maintenance (PM) attainment rate of 96.4%, outperforming its goal of 95%.
And it’s that performance, coupled with impressive profitability, that has earned Cambridge this year’s Quanex Appreciation Award. “It’s a facility that routinely demonstrates strong results, but in 2024, they took things to a new level—all in service to our collective success as an organization,” said Chris Alderson, president, Extruded Solutions.
